Denver, CO, June 1, 2021 – The Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribe of Alaska (CCTHITA) is partnering with Magellan Advisors to develop the strategy to expand high-speed internet services in remote and rural regions of Alaska.
Magellan Advisors’ continues to show its commitment to bringing high-speed internet to tribal organizations across the US and Canada. Our team understands the geographical challenges that the CCTHITA faces in bringing reliable, redundant and affordable high-speed internet to their 21 community chapters.
Magellan will work with the CCTHITA to identify and implement broadband strategies focused on driving new investment into the most unserved regions of Alaska. Magellan will also develop the business, financial, technical, operational and organizational requirements to not only deliver high-speed internet to each and every tribal member, but to also ensure long term financial sustainability of the network over time.
The CCTHITA have a once in a lifetime opportunity to leverage a variety of federal and state funding opportunities to bring next-generation internet access to their tribal communities, enabling a foundation for economic recovery from the Pandemic that brought significant hardship to the region. Magellan will provide its years of experience working directly with native nations to guide the CCTHITA in all of its broadband deployment, adoption and digital literacy goals..
